Water Treatment Operator – Under the direction of the Water Superintendent operate and maintain city’s water treatment facilities.  Facilities include three 1 MGD conventional water filters.  Chemical treatment includes chlorine for
disenfection, polymers and alum for coagulation & settling.  Other duties include electrical, plumbing, mechanical & instrumentation repair.

1995 – 1996      Town of Cedaredge, CO                        Bob Marah Supervisor
Water/Wastewater Operator – Responsible for operations and maintenance of towns water and wastewater systems.  Water system includes: water technology, conventional filters which included chemical treatment.  Wastewater included: primary, secondary and polishing lagoons.

1988 – 1995      City of Rio Dell, CA
Public Works Coordinator/Lab Director – Directly responsible for the operation and maintenance of the city’s wastewater & water facilities.  Upgraded lab to comply with state & federal standards & secured proper certification.  Solely responsible for all lab.  Operations & Testing Procedures, as well as hands-on operation of Chemical Treatment, Well Operation & maintenance.  Developed & maintained accurate logs for city’s wastewater & water distribution system.  Implemented preventative maintenance programs for city’s utilities & equipment.  Coordinated & routinely inspected & installed water & sewer mains, serviced meter valves & all related equipment.  Conducted safety inspections, held meetings & training sessions.  Directly responsible for education of new staff members.  Prepared budgets.

1983 – 1988      Orange County Sanitation District, CA
Plant & Cryogenics Operator – Performed routine maintenance on district’s water pumps, motors, valves, gauges, filters & auxiliary equipment.  Performed field-testing for compliance to Gas & Odor Ordinances.

1978 – 1983      Texaco, Inc.
Plant Operator – Performed operation & limited maintenance on oil refinery to include; pumps, pipeline, vessels, motors, sampling, lab work, control centers, gauges & meters.
