Plant/Process Description:
Our mission is to provide a environmental service to our community through monitoring, collecting and treating the wastewater from the Town of Merrimack in a manner that surpasses our federal discharge limitations (NPDES permit), to provide this service in the most cost-effective manner and to produce a Class A compost material that surpasses all Federal requirements and State requirements (New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Maine).

We believe the beneficial reuse of biosolids compost is sound policy for a sustainable environment for future generations to enjoy. We are committed to produce and distribute a high quality biosolid compost consistent with the Code of Good Practice. We are committed to meet the demands of our customers and community.

Code of Good Practice

The Code of Good Practice (the Code) is a broad framework of goals and commitments to guide the production, management, transportation, storage, and use or disposal of biosolids – in short, a comprehensive Environmental Management System for Biosolids (EMS). Those who embrace the Code and participate in the EMS commitment to “do the right thing”.
